What do I do?
What exactly do I do? That’s a great question. To be honest, I’m not sure. Just kidding! I’m a missionary with The Lion’s Remnant. I write books, plant churches, help struggling churches and ministries, design websites, help other writers write and publish their own books, preach the gospel, disciple other men, train leaders for church planting and church/ministry growth, invest in youth, design cool t-shirts (check out GiantSlayerApparel.com!) and a bunch of other stuff as well. Basically, anything that I feel will leave a lasting impacting long after I am gone.
Who am I?
My heart’s desire is to serve God and people. I have a creative spirit and enjoy creating things that will change people’s lives for God’s glory and their benefit. And I love Jesus! I do my best to take advantage of every opportunity God gives me to serve others. I’m on a mission to change the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, I’m honestly just another preacher proclaiming to the world Jesus is the way and hoping to hear these blessed words one day, “Well done My good and faithful servant.”
While we are often defined by what we do, I don’t believe that is how God meant things to be when He created us. Who we are should define what we do. What we do should be a reflection of who we are. Not the other way around. I can only pray this is true of me. I hope at the end of my race people don’t describe me by the things I did; but instead, describe the things I did as a reflection of who I was. And who is that? Just a guy consumed by the love of God.
My prayer for my life is that it be a crossroads where heaven meets earth in the lives of others. I once lived in a very dark world and was a very angry and miserable person. I used drugs and violence to cope with the wounds of sexual molestation, racism and growing up in a broken home. Then I met Jesus in a jail cell in 2006 and my life has never been the same since. You can read my full story in my next book, Reflections of a Vagabond, Vol. 1: The Story of My Ressurection. Release date to be announced still.
