I love you. I don’t know most of my readers. There was a time when this blog was read only by close friends and family. But now my subscription list is full of names and emails I don’t recognize. I know emails are kind of a sacred thing in today’s culture. I feel honored that there are people out there I have never met who would trust me with theirs. A lot of my subscribers are other WordPress users and bloggers. I feel just as honored to know my blog is part of your WordPress news feed. Whatever your reasons are for being a subscriber/reader, I want you to know that I am grateful for you. And I love you. Even if I don’t know you.
During my prayer time this morning I was just overcome with gratitude for all my readers. And felt like I just needed to let you know that I love you. I truly do. I pray for my readers often. You give so much more meaning to my writing. I would still write even if nobody ever read any of it. But knowing people are reading it motivates me to want to be a better writer and gives so much more meaning to this blog and the books.
I tell things like this to my close friends and family often. I always want them to know how much I appreciate them. Life would just be so dull and pointless without the people in our lives that make it great. And those people deserve to know who they are. As I was thinking this morning about some of those special people in my life, I thought about all the readers I have never shared this with. You are part of that family of people that make my life great and should know how much I appreciate you.
When I started this blog in 2012 I only wanted a creative outlet for my writing. I never imagined it would actually be read by people all over the world that I have never met. And that five years later you would still be reading and the list would still be growing. I just want to thank you for being a part of my journey and allowing me the honor to be a small part of yours. I pray you all have an amazing day today.
