The Inheritance of Silence

Laying in the silence as the world turns with violence
Distance in the piles to the turning distant miles
While the shekels that we’ve made exchange for lead we didn’t crave
Now the weight becomes too great as we inherit our new fate
But it’s too late for us to face indisputable changes we create
All because we were afraid and chose to leave the silence to remain
